Swimming is a great all-round exercise that can be enjoyed by anyone. No matter your age or how good you are, swimming works almost every muscle in your body and is stress-free for your joints, making it perfect if you want to be more active and stay healthy.
With a Be Well membership, you will have access to all the pools in the borough, complete with a range of activities from aqua fit to general swimming. To keep everyone safe, please read through our swim safety rules and check our swimwear policy before your Be Well swim.
General Swimming
Best for: casual swimmers
Come to your local pool and have a swim! Whether you are coming for fun or to thrash out the lengths, this session is open to everyone.Â
Lane Swimming
Best for: full body workoutÂ
Lane swimming is set up to allow people to do lengths in a structured way. With lanes dedicated to different ability levels, it is a great way to exercise.
Family Swimming
Best for: family fun at the pool
At Be Well, we want the whole family to have fun with swimming. To get you all in the water, we offer sessions such as Family Fun Swim, Inflatable Fun Sessions, and Swim for Families.Â
Swimming Lessons
Best for: beginners and improvers
Our trained instructors take all abilities and access needs into consideration to deliver the Swim England criteria for swimming lessons, ensuring everyone can learn this valuable life skill.
