Sports Development

With a commitment to enhancing sports development and community involvement, Be Well is collaborating with the community to design a diverse leisure strategy for the Tower Hamlets community.

Together, we aim to create inclusive opportunities for all and a positive sporting culture across the borough.

We aim to support local groups and clubs to bring communities together through:

  • Partnership working with schools, community and voluntary groups, governing bodies, sports clubs, parks, youth services and more.
  • Encouraging and enabling group activities to improve health and wellbeing.
  • A Sports Strategy for all ages and abilities.

Want to Shape Our Sports Strategy?

We are dedicated to crafting a strategy that aligns with the borough’s needs and are keen to hear from local youth and sports clubs, partners and community champions to shape our strategy.

Sports & Physical Activity

We have a dedicated sports and physical activity team that supports the whole of the sporting community in Tower Hamlets, working to increase participation in physical activity for residents.

We engage with inactive people and community members who face more barriers to participating in sports, such as disabled people, older people, women and girls, minority ethnic groups, and those of lower socio-economic status.

Want to Find Local Activities Near You?

We have partnered with local physical activity providers to make it easier for you to find services in the borough.

To search for an activity, visit our Activity Finder and filter your preference by distance, time, price, level, accessibility and more!

Note: If you are a physical activity provider and are not yet listed on our finder you can add your sessions using Open Sessions. Read our disclaimer.
